Brunilda Isaj possesses more than 25 years of experience and successful track record in the Albanian banking and financial system, covering various senior commercial and c-suite management positions. Her experience extends to retail and commercial banking, financial products and services development, financial markets and instruments, as well as micro-enterprises and SME business development management.

Her career started at Emporiki Bank Albania as a loan officer and Head of Retail Unit, continued at Raiffeisen Bank Albania as a Regional Manager and SME Business Development Manager, later at Credins Bank as Development Department Director, and lastly at Alpha Bank Albania as a Retail Business Unit Manager and Member of the Management Board.

As a General Secretary of Albanian Microfinance Association, Ms. Isaj has offered an important contribution in advocating for and promoting microfinance sector, actively participating in policy making and regulatory area. She is the organizer and leader of a number of roundtable discussions and events on addressing microfinance developments and challenges, such as digital transformation and technology trends, sustainable development goals, green finance and financial inclusion and financial education.

She has been working in close cooperation with the government, regulators, investors and stakeholders, with the aim of supporting the sector and the vulnerable society layers with little or no access to mainstream financial services.

Ms. Isaj has been also consulting and advising important financial institutions in Albania on their development strategies, staff engagement and motivation, as well as management and leadership approach. At an international scale, between 2021 – 2023 she has been elected member of the Board and Chairwoman of Supervisory Council of Microfinance Centre (MFC), a microfinance network with 100+ members from 36 countries.
