In cooperaton with Microfinance Centre (MFC) and with the support of EU funding, the Albanian Microfinance Association held on 27 April 2020 an online working group meeting with subject “Albanian microfinance under the conditions of pandemic crisis”

The meeting objective was to discuss the difficult and challenging situation the MFI-s are experiencing in the conditions of a global crisis caused by the spread of COVID-10, which has hit the world in unprecedented levels. Albania in this regard makes no exception, although the figures of infected people and death toll are among the lowest in the region. However, the lockdowns coming as a result of measures to limit the spread of the virus and not overload the health systems beyond their capacity limits, have had their severe impact in the economy.

Present in the meeting were 27 representatives from member microfinance institutions, mostly coming from the Risk Management area, HR and legal, administration as well as business development functions of MFI-s.
